Finding our Neverland - Behind the magic!

Finding Neverland is a show that has meant a great deal to me for a long time. At its heart, it is about imagination, loss, family, and the courage to keep believing—even when the world tells us it’s time to grow up.
That idea is especially meaningful to me as a director and as someone who has spent so much of my life in the theater. We spend our days asking people to imagine with us. We take an empty stage and turn it into another world. We ask actors to believe, audiences to believe, and, sometimes, we remind ourselves how important it is to believe too.
What I love most about Finding Neverland is that underneath all of its magic is a very human story. It reminds us that growing older doesn’t mean we have to lose the part of ourselves that dreams, plays, creates, and sees possibility where others may not.
And no matter how old we get, I hope there will always be a little bit of Neverland waiting for us!
