Come and Meet…Nick Masson who plays Julian Marsh!
At CAP, Nick has done Fiddler on the Roof (Motel), Little Shop (Orin, et al), All Shook Up (Jim), Hairspray (WIlbur), Guys and Dolls (Nathan Detroit), 42nd Street (Julian Marsh) and up next Uncle Ernie in Tommy.
How long have you been performing?
Growing up in NYC, I took various acting and voice classes, as well as being exposed to a plethora of the arts. Ever since I could remember I did plays and shows. In fact, when I was at sleep-away camp, I did the shows because it meant I got to spend more time on girls side! I also attended Stagedoor Manor and received my BA in Theater from the College of Santa Fe. Performed on various stages throughout the country either doing regional gigs or touring.
What does this role mean to you?
Playing Julian is a blast. Having the chance to walk in the shoes of Jerry Orbach, Michael Cumpsty and the others before me is a thrill. Additionally, having a chance to put my own spin on it. He is a pitbull with a soft bite. A man with a vision who does what needs to be done to get the show up.It has been great to work at CAP and continues to be. It's a safe and welcoming environment where an actor can truly spread there wings. I said it before and I said it again, I'm sure that if we had known about CAP when I was growing up that my mother would have had me signed up and schlepped me back and forth!
