Meet The Cast

Nik Sorocenski (Ren) is thrilled to be a part of Cultural Arts Playhouse's One Rockin' Summer! He is a senior at Stony Brook University studying Business Management with a concentration in Marketing. Nik is a co-owner of Suffolk Theatre Arts and Recreation, a traveling theatre company based out of Suffolk County (look out for our new name change!). He was last seen at CAP doubled (once again!) with Tyler Dema as Dean in All Shook Up. Outside credits include Gabe (Next to Normal), Jesus (Godspell), Robbie Hart (The Wedding Singer). Nik would like to thank Bruce, Eliana, Jon, and Jared for giving him the opportunity to play his dream role before he outgrew it! Much love to all of his dads in the cast. @niksoro

Meet the Company of Footloose

Bruce is thrilled to be returning to the stage as Reverend Moore. He is even more thrilled to be appearing on stage with his two children Jared and Brooke, the latter who will also be playing his daughter in the show! As president of Cap, Bruce opened the theater two decades ago in its original location in Old Bethpage. Now located at its current location, he is excited to announce the theaters new expansion to Syosset in what will be a two theater complex featuring a large 200 seat house and a mini 60 seat theater as well as tons of parking!! Before opening Cap, Bruce appeared in commercials, TV pilots, and national and international tours. Over the years, he has had the pleasure to play roles such as Daddy Warbucks, Father in Children of Eden and Julian Marsh in 42nd St to name a few of his favorites. Bruce would like to congratulate this amazing cast and staff. He is very proud to have directed this group!!

Meet the company of Footloose

Kristen Murphy (Urleen) is going into her junior year at Calhoun high school. Some past credits include @
"Sheila" (Hair) "Mimi" (Rent) "morticia" (The Addams Family) and "Patrice" (13 the musical). Kristen was also the 2013 winner of "Reach for the Stars" and the 2014 winner of "Got Talent Long Island" In her spare time, Kristen enjoys teaching as well as training in gymnastics and dance. Kristen is so excited and humbled to be a part of this production and would like to thank Bruce, Eliana, John, and Jared for all of their hard work and dedication to make this all possible.

Meet the company- FOOTLOOSE

Eliana K-Lichtman (Footloose Choreographer, American Idiot Director/Choreographer) 

Eliana is ecstatic to be choreographing Footloose and Directing/Choreographing American Idiot especially at her home theater! As a performer and a director/choreographer she has been a part of over 100 productions here at the Cultural Arts Playhouse. Aside from CAP, she has choreographed at several theaters across Long Island as well as Molloy College, Harborfields High School, Half Hollow Hills High School East, and she is the Director of the theater program at West Side School in Cold Spring Harbor. Recently she was also the Assistant to the Director for How the Grinch Stole Christmas at Madison Square Garden where she worked under Director Matt August. She has studied with world renowned choreographers Derek Mitchell, Kristin Sudeikis, Ginger Cox, and Emmy Award Winner Mia Michaels. Recent favorite choreography credits include: All Shook Up, Kiss Me Kate, The Addams Family, Deirdre a new musical, and In the Heights. Thank you to family, friends, and everyone who has given their love and support  throughout this journey! Create peace. Spread love.

Meet the company of Footloose

Jackie Cotumaccio (Rusty) is a senior in high school at Kellenberg Memorial. Her past credits at Cultural Arts Playhouse include Maureen (Rent) and Sheila (Hair). Jackie has performed in New York City at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Madison Square Garden and McGuire Hall. In the summer of 2014 she was also named the winner of Oltreoceano International competition and got to perform in several different cities throughout Italy! Jackie also had the honor to perform with All-State and All-Eastern choruses. She is so happy to be a part of this production and would like to thank Bruce, Eliana, Jon, Jared and her extremely talented cast for this opportunity and all of the hard work they put into this production.
