We’ll be looking at Shakespeare’s sonnets, and using this text, we’ll learn how to read, analyze, and understand his writing style. We’ll analyze a sonnet or two together as a class, then on their own, each student will choose another one of Shakespeare’s 154 sonnets, analyze, and perform it! This course will require the kids to do some reading outside of class. We’ll provide copies of the texts, and every sonnet is in the public domain. This class can be taken as a follow-up to the other two Shakespeare courses, or on its own!
